Zubaida Azezi launched her professional music career at the age of 15 when she debuted as soloist with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. In 2017, she became a member of The Florida Orchestra under the direction of Michael Francis. Prior to this, she was a member of the New World Symphony, performing under the baton of Michael Tilson Thomas. Now based in Houston, Texas, she performs regularly with the Houston Symphony, Houston Grand Opera, Houston Ballet, River Oaks Chamber Orchestra, and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. She is also a member of the Classical Tahoe Music Festival, Lakes Area Music Festival, and Arizona Music Festival, with whom she performs throughout the year.

Ms. Azezi has performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center for the Arts, Toronto's Roy Thomson Hall, Usher Hall in Edinburgh, and London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall, where she performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra as part of the BBC Proms.

Beyond her performance career, Ms. Azezi is a passionate advocate for music education. In 2014, she founded the first youth orchestra in Urumqi, China, in collaboration with the YOA Orchestra of the Americas. She has since served as a guest instructor for young musicians at the Academia Filarmónica de Medellín and has had the honor of coaching aspiring musicians in countries including the US, Colombia, Jamaica, Canada, China, and the Dominican Republic.

Born in Urumqi, China, and of Uyghur descent, Ms. Azezi began her violin studies at the age of 6. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Columbus State University, where she was the recipient of the coveted Woodruff Scholarship, and a Master of Music degree from Southern Methodist University.
